Stratford Swords is a friendly and inclusive group based in the lovely Shakespearean town of Stratford-upon-Avon and focused on the study of Historical Fencing.
We study manuscripts written by medieval and Renaissance fencing masters, such as Johannes Liechtenauer, Fiore dei Liberi and Salvator Fabris, who wrote their instructions for fighting with the different weapons of the day.
Our group aims to create a welcoming and collaborative space to examine a variety of weapons and masters from history and support scholars and enthusiasts to learn more, enhance their lives and have fun, making friends in the process.
