Description
These snowboard bags are an excellent way to transport swords from home to training and back again. The bags are sturdy and reliable, with a handle on the side and also straps on the back so that it can be worn like a backpack. There is padding on the inside to keep your sword safe from accidental minor knocks, and there are a couple of large pockets on the outside where you could keep cleaning kit (oil, file, whatever), paperwork for class (notebook, tablet, lesson plans, membership forms…) or whatever you need to carry with you to the training session.
Measurements:
Length: 130cm (51″)
Width: 33cm (13″)
In terms of depth, it is deep enough to hold a few swords, and deep enough to accept a Rawlings synthetic basket-hilted broadsword. However, it is not quite deep enough to hold bulky equipment such as a fencing mask or padded jacket. It can hold a pair of gloves of a similar sort of size to the Sparring Gloves.
In terms of length and width, it is a perfect snug fit for an Albion Liechtenauer or an Albion Meyer. The Meyer’s crossguard will fit snugly inside the bag without poking out to the side. Something a bit longer (such as, for example, the Regenyei, Ensifer or Hanwei feders) may stick out a little from the end of the bag. If you study sword and buckler then the bag should hold both your sword and your buckler.
These bags come in different colours (primarily black or grey) and with different patterns (some plain, some with patterns). Unfortunately at this point in time we cannot guarantee precisely what colour/pattern we can send to you.
