What medical provision do you need for your event? Just a first-aider with a first-aid kit, or an ambulance on-site just in case?
If you set the tone of your event to be a small, informal, low-intensity, local sort of affair, then you probably don’t need much by way of medical provision. Make sure that there is a well-stocked first-aid kit and at least one person who knows how to use it. Keep the intensity low and there won’t be much need for medical supplies.
However, if you have set the tone to be a much higher-intensity event, then you may need greater medical provision. You might need to consider hiring in a team of professional first-aiders to provide professional response in the case of an injury.
What does your event insurance demand of you in terms of medical provision?
Book a judge training workshop
We offer judge training workshops to help your staff and/or club members improve their judging skills. Becoming a better judge usually leads to developing skills that are useful for fencing, such as perceiving openings and predicting an opponent’s behaviour, so judge training has a wide range of benefits.
If you would like to book a judge training workshop, then please send us an email to discuss your requirements, and we would be delighted to help.
