Description
This leather overlay with back of head protection is a great combination of padding and protection for the top and sides of the head, protecting the mask against wear and tear, and also including protection for the back of the head and neck.
The overlay is made of strong leather with padding beneath it. The back of head protection is made from 1cm thick plastic foam and two overlapping plastic plates. The whole construction is elastic and gives a high level of protection. There are no gaps between plastic plates to weaken the construction.
The overlay fits onto the fencing mask and stays in place with an elastic belt below the chin of the mask. A Velcro belt on the back of the overlay allows it to be removed easily from the mask, and also keeps the back of head protection close to the head to minimise the risk of an accidental hit.
The size is one-size-fits-all, with the elastic belt ensuring a good fit on the vast majority of masks. Mask not included.
